Purpose: Frontier FFA will host Dollars and Sense, a "speed-dating" style event where members rotate between agricultural professionals to ask questions about personal finance, agricultural markets, career pathways, and economic decision-making. This makes learning interactive and gives students both knowledge and exposure to real agricultural careers.
Why: Financial literacy is essential for preparing students for economic independence and success. Only about 31% of U.S. teens say they have access to financial literacy courses at school, while 68% would take one if offered. Many high schoolers also feel underprepared for life after graduation: fewer than one-third feel “very prepared” for their future career or postsecondary path.
