Purpose: The purpose of slow down Safety is to promote school zone safety through leadership and community activity. Bus drivers and school police officers will work to educate students about the importance of slowing down, staying alert, and following traffic laws near schools. 

Why: As community leaders, FFA members have the opportunity to make a impact beyond agriculture. Currently around 25,000 children are injured each year in school zone related accidents because of speeding and distracted driving. By raising awareness members can help create a safer environment for the students and community.
