Ag-vocacy Beneath the Dome: Day on the Capitol
Jan 9 2026 12:00AM - Jan 9 2026 12:00AM
Location - Wyoming State Capitol

Purpose: The purpose of the Frontier Day on the Capitol is to inspire our members to become passionate about local governments. We hope that this activity will teach students about the different levels of local, state, and national governments. Our group will tour the capitol for free and experience the systems and processes that are essential to our government, such as parliamentary procedure. Students will experience firsthand the legislative process of our state and grow their knowledge about Wyoming government. We also hope to collaborate and network with lobbyists and legislators.

Why: We planned this event to help our members gain an appreciation for our local, state, and national governments. We also hope that this opportunity will inspire our members to become more active in local governments and discover career opportunities. According to a study in 2023, 36% of young people never vote in local elections. through our activity, we hope to inspire our members to become more involved in local governments, especially before they are at a voting age.
